Dom You know, despite the poor reviews, I thought this was an overall good film. Eccleston does not look like Lennon at all but I think he portrays' Lennon's personality well enough. Usually in pop media, we get the brilliant side shown of Lennon, which is obviously a half-truth. And so, I thought this film really showed that Lennon was just like any of us, someone with emotional baggage but the confidence and extrovertedness to express that to others through music. I do think that this film has some downsides though: Paul McCartney is kind of a bumbling idiot and we don't get enough time to see Lennon's songwriting talent. The conclusion could have been handled better considering that Lennon did reconcile with his father later on. I recommend this film, although probably not for kids (both for the long plot and some nudity). Underrated film. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/29/23 Full Review Audience Member Brilliant acting. An excellent script. A brilliant theme and definitely is probably best biographical film about John Lennon. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Buena peli... Fuerte pero más verídica del laberinto de persona que era John... Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Fantastic performances from the main cast, however, unless you're a huge Lennon fan or very interested in his life, it's not the film for you. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member I know several people who have expressed disdain for Lennon. This movie gives some good examples for why not everyone loved him.
