Pat Brown Slant Magazine Leonora Addio is a wrestling with memory and history through a deeply personal, if at times indulgent, lens. Rated: 2/4 Feb 16, 2022 Full Review Jonathan Romney Screen International This film feels very much as if it might be intended as a farewell note. Yet it shows so much invention that you hope it might spark a solo renewal, however brief, for this veteran maestro. Feb 15, 2022 Full Review David Rooney Hollywood Reporter A strange and beguiling curio that shows an artist wrapping up the seventh decade of his career with sadness and nostalgia but also with a resilient spirit. Feb 15, 2022 Full Review Stephanie Bunbury Deadline Hollywood Daily [Leonora Addio] looks and sounds sumptuous, but its two stories -- both of which raise questions about what the living owe the dead -- are disappointingly slight. Sep 19, 2023 Full Review Filipe Freitas Always Good Movies Although crossed by some beautiful cinematic imagery, Leonora Addio hardly seems more than an experimental exercise. Rated: 2.5/5 Jun 17, 2023 Full Review Carlos Losilla Caimán Cuadernos de Cine Leonora Addio is not a good film, but it may be that very insufficiency that makes that universe closed in on itself, valuable.
