Audience Member Agnes Varda during the celebrations in the french town of Rochefort for the 25 years since "The Young Girls of Rochefort" were filmed takes the chance to pay a homage to late husband Jacques Demy (d. 1990) and his work which was turning 25 when the documentary was made. Varda combines footage from the movie, footage from her one shooting the making of the movie back in the summer of 1966 and testimonies 25 years after from people that were there or participated in the making of the movie (from Deneuve, who plays the one sister Delphine to people that rented their places for the on-location shooting of the film).
