I’m really conflicted about Let Go. On the one hand, I really liked the commentary on parenthood, gender roles, and what it takes to make a family tick (...) On the other hand, I was repulsed by the plot twist, to be honest.

Maybe I’m being a bit too harsh since I watched the English dubbed version and I sincerely hate dubbed movies, but this movie was just okay. The storyline was touching, but lacked real depth. The only line that really did stand out throughout the movie was, “every time you say that, I double it,” in response to one of the family members saying, “I love you.” All that said, it wasn’t too bad, at least it was a touching look at a family who starts out very strained and becomes stronger and better together.

I love this movie I see myself in the mother and the relationship between the husband. Women want to be appreciated to be acknowledged you become exhausted trying it’s real when they realize what they had and now there love one is gone.

There was not a false note in this movie. The actors felt genuine and the story line, while heartbreaking, seemed so true to life. The ending is not a Hollywood ending which I completely appreciated. I don't want to share the simple and profound messages this movie delivers. It's best left to each viewer for their own take-aways. Don't miss this!
