Jessica Scott Nightmarish Conjurings The tight camerawork and lean runtime make the scares especially effective, with the continuous take lending the story a visceral intimacy. Dec 27, 2022 Full Review Mark H. Harris Black Horror Movies The opening half hour is a test of endurance that will have you contemplating your last will and testament. Rated: 1.8/5 Oct 14, 2022 Full Review Steven Warner In Review Online None of it is the least bit scary, not even when we finally get to experience the haunted house for ourselves, which basically amounts to hiding in a basement. Jun 5, 2021 Full Review Alix Turner Ready Steady Cut Single-take horror about teenage girls and a prank that doesn't go as planned. Not camp or retro, but atmospheric and neatly put together. Rated: 3/5 Feb 15, 2021 Full Review Jennie Kermode Eye for Film Though not wholly successful, this is a bold film which goes where others fear to tread, presenting teenage girls as they are rather than as most horror films like to imagine them... Rated: 3.5/5 Oct 30, 2020 Full Review Ben Robins HeyUGuys As an exercise in setting mood and stretching a budget, there's certainly a great deal to be admired here, but all-in, Let's Scare Julie can't really be recommended for its horror. Elaine K I liked the premise, but it can't be good when the viewer is hoping 90% of the moronic girls get killed. I didn't make it to the end, so it may have improved, but I didn't care enough to find out. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 12/03/22 Full Review emperor s At first I was going to be a bit lenient only because you can tell this is a very small budget film shot all in one house (I assume its rented) and with a cast of nobody actors but, hey, everyone has to get their start somehow. Despite that, the actors never really give a compelling performance even for complete newbies, the camera work is annoying and lazy where it should be inventive and frenetic (if you only have one camera use the damn camera for all its worth!) and there's just a general feeling of minimal effort. All of this would be fine if the story just weren't so incredibly boring. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member I really wanted to like this movie but I was just left bored and uninterested.. loved the cover are but unfortunately that’s as far as my love for this movie goes Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/21/22 Full Review bradale j THE WORST SLEEPOVER IN THE HISTORY OF SLEEPOVERS...I fought to keep my eyes open during the entire film.☕ That's how boring it is. The next time I have trouble falling asleep, I'll just turn on this movie. #BetterThanAmbien💊😴 #ThatEnding🚽 Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review disturbed002 v An promising premise and carefully effective cinematography offer a lot of potential to this teen thriller. However, it is bogged down by an overly long setup and a messy plot, with certain aspects borderlining the abstract. You can watch this for the excitement of what could have been, but don't expect too much from what it is. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Chaotic in a bad way. The first chunk of the movie is just all the characters talking over each other, and then the ending is ??? Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
