Carla Hay Culture Mix Everything about the sci-fi clunker Levels is mishandled and poorly made. It's a jumbled mess of bad ideas about a man, his girlfriend, multiverse dimensions, and artificial intelligence. This forgettable flop has no intelligence, artificial or otherwise. Jan 14, 2025 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue While rearranging familiar cautionary ideas about the dangers of unchecked technology, the film jumps between chronologies and realities, although it’s unlikely moviegoers will care enough to put the narrative pieces together. Jan 10, 2025 Full Review Chris Knight Original Cin Levels takes ideas from The Matrix, Free Guy and others to the same places. It’s not a bad movie, but it’s been done before, and done better. Viewers expected to shiver may just shrug. Rated: C+ Nov 1, 2024 Full Review Travis Hopson Punch Drunk Critics Levels goes deeper than some in pondering the moral and philosophical concerns when it comes to AI but lacks the screenplay to balance it with the action fans of this genre crave. Claudio C Levels (2024) Too Bright for Certain Viewers (11,808 –05 Jul 2025 – by Claudio Carvalho) The bookseller Joe (Peter Mooney) lives in a comfortable apartment fully automatized. His best friend is Oliver, Oliver (David Hewlett), who owns a newsstand close to his home. One day, when he arrives at his bookstore, he meets the client Ash (Cara Gee). She invites him to go to a café, and they immediately fall in love with each other. Out of the blue, a stranger shots Ash into the forehead and disappears when Joe runs after him. Joe tries to commit suicide, but her is not able to kill himself. Further, he receives a message from Ash. What is happening to him? “Levels” (2024) is one of the best latest sci-fi released, with a very intelligent story. I do not understand the bad reviews and I conclude the plot is too bright for certain viewers. The idea of 497 universes created by two geniuses with algorithms to study the effects on real human beings is fantastic. Aaron Abrams performs as an excellent villain, Hunter, and shows that absolute power corrupts. The chemistry between Cara Gee and Peter Mooney is another nice part of the film. My vote is eight. Unlike the matrix that was a bit of an insult to the viewer with its obtuse and unclear narrative as it went along, this came up with a solid sci fi storyline. Well, aside from the guy disappearing at the end!! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/23/25 Full Review Carla T The movie was utter crap couldn’t even finish it. Losers. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/13/24 Full Review Claudia D Really liked this movie. It’s deeper than the matrix. It tells the story of Enki and Enlil. If you don’t know about them, type it in Google and go down the rabbit whole. Praise Jesus 💕 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/09/24 Full Review Laurie S Does anyone know where I can get hold of the drugs these idiots took to make this crap? Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 12/04/24 Full Review R S The movies was not good it was actually great. There wasn’t accessible violence and there was deep meaning and a moral message.
