Everything about the sci-fi clunker Levels is mishandled and poorly made. It's a jumbled mess of bad ideas about a man, his girlfriend, multiverse dimensions, and artificial intelligence. This forgettable flop has no intelligence, artificial or otherwise. Go to Full Review
Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue 01/10/2025
While rearranging familiar cautionary ideas about the dangers of unchecked technology, the film jumps between chronologies and realities, although it’s unlikely moviegoers will care enough to put the narrative pieces together. Go to Full Review

Levels takes ideas from The Matrix, Free Guy and others to the same places. It’s not a bad movie, but it’s been done before, and done better. Viewers expected to shiver may just shrug. Go to Full Review

Levels goes deeper than some in pondering the moral and philosophical concerns when it comes to AI but lacks the screenplay to balance it with the action fans of this genre crave. Go to Full Review

Margaret C @RT40369248 Aug 25 Good premise and fairly entertaining. My biggest complaint was the ill cast lead Cara Gee who never seemed to really get into character. Her clunky, often emotionless, delivery made some scenes hard to watch, and not in a good way. Did I check to see how many minutes left? Sure, but still worth it if you like sci-fi, and feel like you’ve already watched everything else worthwhile. See more Paul S @PManRager Dec 21 While the movie had impressive visuals and intriguing concepts of a futuristic society, the story was mediocre and poorly told. I could see sci-fi fans appreciating this movie, but overall, it wasn't great. See more Craig K @Cracky Oct 21 Its not a perfect movie, but its an intriguing concept. Worth a watch if you're into parallel realities. See more Steve W @RT12844583 Sep 25 I see all the bad reviews, and my only conclusion is that the reviewers didn't understand the movie. Is it clunky in parts? Is there bad CGI in places? Yes, but the concept is brilliant. No, it's not an Inception ripoff. This is directly targeted at "Our World is a Simulation" theorists, and it does it brilliantly. The great thing is I was not expecting the shifts. They are introduced slowly enough to keep it interesting. And the last twist was perfect. The only problem is that when you realize the world is a simulation, you [slowly pixelates and drifts into nothingness] See more Rob L @RT11548204 08/19/2025 Someone with purple hair in film school watched Inception and thought they could do better. They did not. See more Craig W. @CJWolfe27 07/21/2025 This is pretty, was hard to make it through the whole thing See more Read all reviews
