Claudio C Jul 13 Libre (2024) Based on the Story of the Polite Thief Bruno Sulak (11,827 –12 Jul 2025 – by Claudio Carvalho) In the end of the 70’s and 80’s, the thief Bruno Sulak (Lucas Bravo), his beloved girlfriend Annie Bragnier (Léa Luce Busato) and his friends stole several supermarkets and jewelries in France, always in a polite way. “Libre” (2024) is a fictitious story based on true events and the “modus-operandi” of the notorious thief by the marvelous Mélanie Laurent. Bruno Sulak is compared to the fictious French thief Arsène Lupin, created in 1905 by the French writer Maurice Leblanc. Although underrated by critics, the direction, cinematography and music score are also excellent. My vote is seven.
