Malene Arpe Toronto Star Fails to deliver much in the way of engagement or thrills. Rated: 2/4 Jul 29, 2005 Full Review Brad Wheeler Globe and Mail Leitman gives these golden girls a voice -- that is the film's success. The failure is the narrative. Rated: 2.5/4 Jul 29, 2005 Full Review Moira MacDonald Seattle Times Leitman gives us a comprehensive array of pinup photos, news clips and wrestling footage from these women's younger years, and gives the women plenty of camera time to emerge as individuals and personalities. Rated: 3/4 Jun 17, 2005 Full Review Cole Smithey ColeSmithey.com This kitchy movie arrives as a quirky and funny footnote to "Million Dollar Baby," and dispels any notion that these brawny pin-up women were ever anything more or less than a batch of tough broads. Rated: C Jun 4, 2009 Full Review Felix Vasquez Jr. Cinema Crazed It's a fun, and fascinating exploration in to the world of female wrestling... Apr 29, 2009 Full Review Bill Gibron DVDTalk.com There is a great film to be made about the grappling glamazons who helped blaze a trail that lead to legitimizing women's athletics. This is not that movie, however. Rated: 3/5 Sep 30, 2005 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member A very interesting documentary about women's wrestling. It focuses primarily on the pioneers of the sport and has great interviews intermixed with rare archival footage. Hearing these women, who are great grandmothers now, talk so passionately about their days of competing as high level wrestlers is fascinating. The Fabulous Moolah is the main focus but more than a dozen other women are profiled & interviewed. A must watch for any wrestling fan. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!! Nothing likes chicks kickin a$% Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Very entertaining doc., but doesn't paint Moolah in a very good light. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Deliciously gossipy and educational with great vintage footage. If you want to hear some ultra-cool grandma cursing up a storm, then you'd really love this. :) Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member This was an interesting perspective on the early history of womens wrestling. I'll say this , these were some rough women. Cool for the history but that was about it. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member A good documentary chronicling the early days of women's wrestling and focusing on a hand full of the lady wrestlers, including The Fabulous Moolah and Mae Young. This is not a complete history of women's wrestling, but only focuses on lady wrestling around the 40's and 50's. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Read all reviews
