John Kinloch California Eagle Listen, Darling is one of those rare B-pictures that captures a singular charm and spontaneity which most class A productions miss completely. Steve D The script keeps bouncing between trying too hard and not trying. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/18/23 Full Review ashley h Listen, Darling is a decent film. It is about a daughter who is trying to stop her mother from entering into a loveless marriage. Judy Garland and Freddie Bartholomew give good performances. The screenplay is a little slow in places. Edwin L. Marin did an alright job directing this movie. I liked this motion picture because of the humor and drama. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Average MGM vehicle serves as a showcase for young Judy Garland, who sings "Zing! Went the Strings of My Heart." Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Predictable, yes, but Judy Garland and Freddie Bartholomew are a winning pair and put this over and are quite charming. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member A great family film. Very sweet and funny. Judy Garland sings "sing with the strings of my heart" and it was great!!!!!
