Martin Tsai Los Angeles Times To call it amateurish would be kind. Sep 10, 2015 Full Review Andy Webster New York Times Begins as a fitfully intriguing character study before flying off the rails as a nightmarish vision of government encroachment on free thought. Sep 10, 2015 Full Review Matthew Lickona San Diego Reader It looks and feels like a particularly well made student film (so many colored filters), but the subject matter is rather more interesting and weirdly plausible than the recent spate of big-budget AI films. Rated: 2/5 Sep 10, 2015 Full Review Mikel Zorrilla Espinof It seems to be a final project in Khalil Sullins' career, but without the clarity of ideas to do something minimally consistent.. [Full Review in Spanish] Aug 28, 2019 Full Review Josh Lasser IGN Movies This is where Listening really falls apart - it doesn't seem to know what it wants to be. Rated: 4.9/10 Oct 29, 2015 Full Review MaryAnn Johanson Flick Filosopher Naive, hamfisted, and amateurish indie sci-fi... but as hilarious as the clumsy, clichéd execution is, it still isn't even worth it for the laughs. Audience Member No idea why this is rated so poorly, should be 70% on the tomato meter at the very least. Intriguing story. Nice and unexpected twist. Cast was decent. The movie won a number of awards at various film festivals prior to release. Listening was much better than some of the multi-million dollar "blockbuster" films I've seen over the last 2 decades. I would highly recommend this movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member What a great yarn, critics give boring art house rubbish 5 stars and bag a great story cause they don't like the lighting or director Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member At first I didn't expect much from this movie but I ended up really enjoying the characters, twists and the storyline! I like Netflix dark mirror and this was a similar story kudos to the director/writer as he did a good job! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member The storyline was different but poorly acted and just don’t flow was boring and confusing Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie had a few decent scenes and a lot of potential, but in the end, it was kind of a big disappointment to me. I would say that it is safe to skip this one. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Ehhhh... Not bad, but not so great, either. Nice intro hook and Interesting charachter development during the first half, but the second half was a messy government conspiracy that left me unfulfilled at the end.
