Andrew Pulver Guardian Czajka's film has some interesting points to make about money-earning - in both the white and black economies - but it's a tad lightweight compared to Laurent Cantet's Human Resources, which dealt with not-dissimilar themes. Rated: 3/5 Jan 20, 2011 Full Review Patrick Peters Empire Magazine Julie's thrillseeking is occasionally contrived, but Demoustier is one to watch. Rated: 3/5 Jan 18, 2011 Full Review Michael Leader Den of Geek In the face of unlikely love, maturity, and a society that preaches conformity, there are some willing to fight... Rated: 4/5 May 7, 2024 Full Review Ed Whitfield The Ooh Tray Living on Love Alone is ... a useful snapshot of a time when society has put its lowest ever premium on skill and imagination and the generation that's being betrayed as a consequence. Jun 30, 2011 Full Review Kent Turner Film-Forward.com The director has written an unpretentious, straightforward script for a cast up for anything, whether in or out of the sack. Rated: 3/4 Mar 5, 2011 Full Review Tom Dawson Total Film Heeding Jean-Luc Godard's maxim that all you need to make a movie is a "girl and a gun", Isabelle Czajka's freewheeling feature is built around a captivating turn from French rising star Anas Demoustier. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Oh well, not too memorable. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member French Cinema's typical self-possessed style. So plain, nothing much really new nor interesting. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Simply superb. See this if you can at the cinema. A delightful film. (the only downside is stepping out of the cinema into the chill of winter after an hour or so of gorgeous sun drenched summer) Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
