Frank Scheck Hollywood Reporter Davis, working in collaboration with producer-director Angus Watts, has crafted an uncommonly stylistic example of its genre, infused with mordant humor and, true to its locale, plenty of exotic dead animals lying in the road. Nov 29, 2019 Full Review David Stratton The Australian Some talented actors are involved - including Andy McPhee as Ryan's friend - and Davis does his best to bring cohesion to the material, though the wobbly camerawork is, as always, an unnecessary distraction. Rated: 2.5/5 Oct 19, 2019 Full Review Jake Wilson Sydney Morning Herald It is, in short, very much a B-movie and, on this level, it's watchable though never especially inspired. Rated: 2.5/5 Oct 16, 2019 Full Review David Parkinson Radio Times Watts piles on the clichés and caricatures. Rated: 2/5 Aug 12, 2021 Full Review Adrian Martin ScreenHub This Wake in Fright-lite struggles to balance the demands of a genre film with character-driven drama. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review toby h Locusts is a good effort at an Australian comedy crime flick, but it doesn't live long in the memory. Good performances, characters and a short run time makes it an easy watch. It's good enough to not bug you out. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Amazing movie! Very gritty and lots of atmosphere Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Grim and gritty Australian thriller is okay but nothing special. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Loved it. Definitely one to add to your list and make sure you watch . Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review peter w Overall, Locusts is a very satisfying Australian film. It's a simple crime story which is loaded with great performances, twists and thrills. Strong visuals and gripping performances are also a nice bonus. In the end, I found myself invested in this film's story. This film should be viewed and needs to be supported by fellow movie lovers today. 7.4/10 - Walkden Entertainment Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
