If you can get past the project’s phoniness, some parts of Lola work surprisingly well. Go to Full Review

There’s nothing really surprising or new to be found in Lola’s poorly scripted and stereotypically melodramatic story, which is mostly realized as typical arrangements of manufactured intensity and overt sentiment-baiting. Go to Full Review

mari w Nov 8 it was amazing. it’s sad how people downplay nicola’s acting as if they can do better. her acting was so good and the whole movie is amazing. it portrays real life very well & it shows the downs people go through before reaching their up. See more Terrence S May 4 It was watchable. I am a fan of peltz so wanted to see what she did with this. A lot of it was predictable and not different from other films with similar themes. I see what she was trying to do but it just didn't hit the mark. But for a first movie it's better than I could do. See more Kyle S Feb 18 Aww this has made me really like her for doing this story. See more Cassandra Q Feb 12 This movie starts out slow. This movie hilights the possible effects of childhood trauma. Lola has quite a few twsts and turns. It also has tragedy and loving relationships. Although i wish it would have csme with a trigger warning, still a great movie See more V L 12/01/2024 Nicola Peltz, Have some courage and make a movie about what it's like to grow up as a billionaire. That is something you are intimately familiar with AND a type of life that more than 99% of planet literally knows nothing about. People likely think they know, but there really aren't any realistic portrayals of this type of rarified existence in film. Many of us would be interested in what it's like to navigate life when you could literally afford anything. I'll bet many aspects are not what people think and not everything is what it's cracked up to be. Oh and work with Virginia Madsen again if you can. She's amazing. See more Keith B 11/05/2024 While Lola appears by all measures to be trapped within the ever-suffocating confines of generational dysfunction, her rapturous inner beauty is discovered through her perseverance. No darkness can extinguish her flame- although it flickers from endless storms. Friendship proves safe harbor. Lola’s womanhood bears witness to the crushing weight of society’s incest. She embraces motherhood despite so much heartache; and chooses love to rise above the ashes of her sordid family. See more Read all reviews
