Steve F My dad Eric Freiwald and his writing partner Bob Schaefer wrote this screen play for Jack Wrather. He and Bob wrote many westerns including the Lone Ranger. They had a wrap party at the Disneyland hotel and my mom said Jay Silverheels was a wonderful dancer. So I loved the movie of course and was able to go on location with my dad many times. They were also head writers for Lassie. A great guy and my sisters and I had a blast going to Desilu Studios and playing on the western town lot. The movie poster is in my nephew's home. The Mesa theater gave it to dad. Jack Wrather also was on the capital records board so we all saw the Beatles in 1964 at the Bowl. A night to remember. Couldn't hear a thing but screaming girls and many fainting all around us. But we saw the fab four live on stage. Still the best band of all time.✌️🤟🇺🇲❤️ Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/08/24 Full Review Kolby K It is a good old movie with some of the best actors ever Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/26/24 Full Review ashley h The Lone Ranger and the Lost City of Gold is a decent. It is about three Indians who are murdered. Clayton Moore and Jay Silverheels give good performances. The script is a little slow in places. Lesley Selander did an alright job directing this movie. I liked this motion picture because of the action and adventure. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Clayton Moore's Last Ride As A Cinematic "Lone Ranger"--Surprisingly solid "B" Western!! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Like Flash Gordon or Tarzan, the Lone Ranger was primarily aimed at children, so do not go into this film expecting a John Ford or Anthony Mann western. Taken at it's own level, it's reasonably entertaining if you can get past the offensive native American stereotypes that were rampant in these types of pictures. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member another good western in this series from the year I was born. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews
