Critics Consensus

More interested in the psychology of psychics than the veracity of their craft, Look Into My Eyes is an entertaining documentary that finds humanity in the supernatural.

John Anderson Wall Street Journal What will likely make “Look Into My Eyes” emotionally moving and surprisingly so is Ms. Wilson’s approach to her subjects. She captures them in a strictly observational and almost clinical fashion. Jan 9, 2025 Full Review Sam Adams Slate Whether or not you believe these psychics are communing with the dead—or, in one case, with the spirits of still-living animals—the interactions with their clients feel genuinely emotional in a way that is hard to dismiss entirely. Dec 20, 2024 Full Review Robert Abele Los Angeles Times Human connections are gifts, imagination is powerful and empathy isn’t a trick. These are the things “Look Into My Eyes” patiently communicates to us from its watchful perch. Sep 13, 2024 Full Review Will Bjarnar Geek Vibes Nation Rather than probing them for information regarding the truth behind their techniques, she lets them speak for themselves, to tell her what they know and what they believe in. Rated: 7.5/10 Jul 19, 2025 Full Review Steve Crum Crum on Showbiz Director Lana Wilson captures the isolationism of the psyche as it plays out in Hannah Buck’s spot on editing. The film is reminiscent of the style of documentarian Frederick Wiseman, and that is great praise. Rated: A- Mar 15, 2025 Full Review John Serba Decider Look Into My Eyes is challenging on multiple fronts – and fascinating too. Jan 13, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Iamwhoi M Honestly, most of these people struck me as carnival cold readers. I think this would be much more interesting with a different group of psychics. I do agree with the woman who said "it's the healers who need the most healing". It does seem like these psychics need more therapy than their customers. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/25 Full Review DEBRA M I don't believe any of these people are psychic mediums. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/17/25 Full Review Roman C Beautiful film. Very empathetic vibes. Brought the tears out several times 😢 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/13/25 Full Review Flora S Loved how it explores loss. People see psychics because they are looking for deeper meaning. Most of us realize there is a deeper meaning, but don't explore the depths. These folks dive right in. So admirable. My favorite part was when she said "because you could handle it". Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/12/25 Full Review ryan b Dumb. Just plain dumb. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/11/25 Full Review Cindy S A waste of six dollars. I was really, really disappointed in this documentary. I should have read the reviews outside of rotten tomatoes first. I am really interested in the subject matter, but this was just a boring nothing burger of a documentary. It had no structure, it felt very haphazard. I didn’t relate to any of the “psychics“.Do not recommend. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/01/25 Full Review Read all reviews
