Dermot M 12/11/2023 Saw the film at the NFT on Sunday. Don't know quite what I was expecting but I was blown away. Laughing and crying in equal measure. Don't know why we can't see this film easily. It's a real Christmas classic and in the Q and A they said it had won an Emmy too. Absolutely fabulous film. I have just ordered a copy from the US. See more Anne E 12/11/2023 Had to watch this twice as it's chock-full of symbolism, spirituality, karma, Dickensian morality, all wrapped up in a film that anyone from nine to ninety could watch and all take different levels away with them. This is not a spoiler but it is worth remembering that St Anthony is the Saint of Lost Things. As my granny often reminded me...'Ask St Anthony'! Beautifully put together, I feel like this film was originally placed in obscure broadcasting time and missed out on it's audience potential. It would be wonderful to see this reach a bigger audience and make it part of the Xmas film tradition.
