Debbie Lynn Elias Behind The Lens A visually expressive and engaging film [that] takes us into the world of cosplay, comics, and burlesque...with everything from comic book heroes and villains to two-bit neighborhood hoods and old-school trope detectives. Dec 8, 2023 Full Review Richard Propes TheIndependentCritic.com For those who can appreciate inspired storytelling and a willingness to lean into experimental cinematics, there's much to love about this entertaining indie gem. Rated: 3.0/4.0 Nov 3, 2022 Full Review Bobby LePire Film Threat Lost Cos examines some intense, grueling themes but does so in a surprisingly fun way. Rated: 9/10 Oct 17, 2022 Full Review Christopher Machell CineVue Sadly, despite some cultish potential this aptly-titled debut feature is indeed a lost cause: an incoherent, undisciplined and tedious mess with little about it to truly recommend. Journey G That was, without a doubt, one of the best films I’ve ever had the pleasure of watching. From the opening scene to the final frame, it delivered a cinematic experience that was both emotionally powerful and visually breathtaking. The storytelling was rich and layered, keeping me fully engaged throughout. Each performance felt authentic and deeply human, with the cast bringing a raw intensity that elevated every moment. The direction was confident and purposeful, with every shot crafted to serve the narrative in a meaningful way. The soundtrack perfectly complemented the tone, subtly enhancing the emotional arcs without ever feeling intrusive. This was more than just a movie—it was an experience that left a lasting impression. It felt timely, necessary, and long overdue. A film like this reminds us why cinema matters: to inspire, to challenge, and to connect. Truly unforgettable Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/06/25 Full Review Rich G I first saw LOST COS early in its festival run, so I got to catch it a few times before its release, and I liked it more each time. Yes, it's got "indie" all over it, but that just makes it all the more genuine - not to mention it's a film about cosplay that features actual New York cosplayers. Evgeniya Radilova is a strong presence. She does well with both the acting and the mantle of superheroine. I'm told she did her own stunts. Tony Naumovski brings some great dark comic relief. Comic book art by Adriano Moraes is a great touch, and first-time film director Robin De Levita keeps the film's many storylines moving, so I didn't mind the plot holes and lack of continuity. LOST COS could easily become a cult classic. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 06/05/25 Full Review Read all reviews
