See more jeff o 09/02/2022 This is a very compelling story of a young man's descent in madness and gradual return to some semblance of his former self. The relationships between Benji, his inner self Jordan and the mysterious young woman who lives across the hall, Sylvia, are complex and imaginative. The relationship between Benji and Jordan is never predictable or trite. Jordan pokes all the sore spots trying to remind Benji that there was life outside the apartment door. Life, in this case, comes in the form of Sylvia; an attractive and mysterious young woman who moves in across the hall. Her efforts to draw Benji out seem altruistic but eventually we discover another side. Having worked in mental health services and been involved in the music business I was initially skeptical of a psychological drama, sometimes comedy, about a disturbed musician but I was extremely impressed with this movie and can enthusiastically recommend it to anyone not needing to be overwhelmed by two hours of explosions and special effects.
