Audience Member A wonderful film beautifully directed. Belinda Chayko really understands the world of children and their desperate need for love. All the principal actors give reflective performances but I am amazed by the children's performances starting the girl who played Lou. Belinda Chayko is a director to watch out for. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Lou is a sweet, unusual film about Lou, her two younger sisters and her mom, having been abandoned by Lou's father and being left in debt. A grandfather who has alzheimer's comes to stay with them and Lou grows to love him, he apparently mistaking her for someone he loves. Their relationship is never that close to incestuous though he does give her a ring and they talk of loving each other. The two run away together but return and the grandfather goes away. 10/10 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member A young woman with three girls decides to let a relative stay with them. One of the girls develops a strong bond with him. Boring but watchable. It shows how a person with Alzheimer's disease behaves. Lou is a sweet girl but boring. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member In parts charming, nuanced and internal, Lou is a film for contemplative viewing. It lacks the dynamics or scale of grand Cinema but the journey of the key characters has a melancholy sweetness Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews
