Peter Bradshaw Guardian It is a thoroughly grownup and absorbing drama, acted with such sympathy and warmth, a ruminative and exploratory movie of ideas, and one that pays its audience the compliment of treating them as intelligent beings. Rated: 4/5 Aug 13, 2025 Full Review Simon Abrams RogerEbert.com The ease and the seriousness with which each exchange builds to the suggestion of sex (or further relations) is often charming. Rated: 3/4 May 16, 2025 Full Review Zachary Barnes Wall Street Journal It’s the sort of talky European drama that, in its well-expressed thoughtfulness, leaves one feeling strangely refreshed. I’ll happily take two more. May 15, 2025 Full Review Carmen Paddock Loud and Clear Reviews There is a gentleness to the presentation of events and characters in Love that celebrates the quotidian. Rated: 3/5 Aug 11, 2025 Full Review Rich Cline Shadows on the Wall Filmmaker Dag Johan Haugerud keeps the tone earthy and relaxed as characters chatter about big issues, often weighing up their thoughts and feelings against those of others. Rated: 3.5/5 Aug 1, 2025 Full Review Siddhant Adlakha Truthdig The movie’s conversational nature makes for a deceptively comforting watch, aided by Haugerud and cinematographer Cecilie Semec casual visual approach, in which dialogue dictates the movie’s rhythm.
