Gabriel G I watched this with my girl and it was really enjoyable due to a very original premise -- two strangers have a one-night stand and the next morning they wake up to a hostage situation in their building. So, although they don't remember anything about the night before, they're stuck in the apartment together. Little by little everything start coming back and the story unravels nicely. I'd never seen a romantic comedy with a premise quite like this, so it was a very enjoyable watch. It also helped that the two leads, Randall Core and Natalie Stavola, are very good looking. I'd definitely recommend for date night. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/09/23 Full Review Javier M I just saw Love and Hostages and the more I think back to the picture, the more I like what I saw. This is because it offered such an original plot and likable characters, I think it would make a perfect date night film. It's not a film for kids, as the plot is a bit too adult, but for folks looking for a nice romantic comedy, you'd be hard pressed to find something better! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/10/23 Full Review corkball L&H has a cutesy premise: two people on a one night stand are trapped in a tiny apartment by a hostage situation, where they are forced to... heaven forbid... TALK to each other. The film is cute and harmless and has a few funny and touching moments, and the characters are somewhat likeable. That said, it has the budget of a Canadian indie, and pretty bad acting all around, to the point of distraction. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member What a fun movie! And the song "There Will Be Blood" written and sung by Kris Doran was fantastic! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews
