While it doesn't take any big risks, it manages enough laughs to keep it moving, with a diverse cast, lots of Queen songs and even a good, old-fashioned overly competitive pub quiz. What's not to like?

Love Birds is a charming Kiwi romantic comedy with laughs and a Queen heavy soundtrack. The beautiful Auckland background is a character in itself. You'll have a good ducking time with this.

Respected director, hit NZ comic and Sally Hawkins get together with a script by a guy that appeared in a minor role in "Braindead", (or "Dead Alive" in some markets) - this film however is not worth seeing, it has the resonance and flow of a NZ television commercial for insurance or Toyota cars focusing on stuff about ducks, romance with wooden performances that don't really push the story along a great deal. Poster design is derivative also.
