When the Beatles come to Madrid, wealthy teenage fan Diana (Penélope Cruz) persuades smitten bellhop Santi (Gabino Diego) to let her into the hotel room of John Lennon. They both end up under a bed while Lennon and a groupie make love above them. This proves to be the beginning of an affair that spans 30 years, during which an older Diana (Ana Belén) and Santi (Juanjo Puigcorbé) marry and divorce other people. Nonetheless, the their paths cross in moments of tragedy and triumph.
