I really wanted to like this movie - it had no plot and was just a series of little vignettes that didn't tie themselves together or even make sense. I was very disappointed. I would not recommend seeing this; don't waste your time

Very disappointed. While lead actress is clearly talented and very expressive, as is her Mother, Bette Midler, the premise of the movie was very Hallmark movieish. Characters were introduced that there was no time to fully develop, no explanation given for why Golda put Ruby in the shop in the first place, then makes a weird cameo at the end. This should've been a freebie Apple. Totally wasted $5.

The movie had individual "vignettes", all very diverse characters- and they all fit into the ending nicely. It's a movie that appeals to just about everyone. Ruby is expertly brought to life, and she's a likeable character. I'd watch this again.
