Model-turned-actor Colton Haynes made millions of audiences swoon with his chiseled features and bad boy charm. After launching his modeling career by appearing in advertising campaigns for Abercrombie & Fitch and Ralph Lauren, Haynes turned his attention to onscreen acting work. He guest-starred on several hit primetime series before landing a regular role on "The Gates" (ABC, 2010), a thrilling drama about an upscale community inhabited by supernatural entities. Haynes was perfectly cast as an athletic and mysterious young man who transformed into a werewolf. Even though the series was cancelled after only one season, it launched Haynes' career as a Hollywood latest "It" boy. He quickly bounced back by joining the cast of "Teen Wolf," MTV's remake of the 1985 classic film starring Michael J. Fox. The actor's role called for him to be a confidante to the main character, a former geek-turned-werewolf, which showcased Haynes' onscreen versatility and established him as an emerging talent with a promising career. Colton Haynes was born on July 13, 1988 in Wichita, KS. He grew up on a farm in Andale, KS before moving around with his family to various states, including Arkansas, New Mexico, Florida and Texas. Even though he frequently relocated, Haynes made quite an impression at every school he attended, from earning a "Gatorade Player of the Year" award for tennis his junior year, to nabbing a Prom King nomination at his high school in Texas. Haynes began modeling at the age of 15, living in New York City and appearing in advertisements for Abercrombie & Fitch for photographer Bruce Weber. With his brooding eyes and dark features, Haynes also shot campaigns for J.C. Penney and Ralph Lauren, and appeared in editorial shoots for XY magazine, Teen Vogue, and Arena. The model began making his move towards an acting career with an uncredited role as a young man in a cafe in the blockbuster film "Transformers" (2007). He eventually landed a speaking part that same year on "CSI: Miami" (CBS, 2002-12) and a cameo on MTV's pseudo-reality series "The Hills" (2006-2010), which followed a group of twenty-something singles living in Los Angeles. Haynes was reportedly considered for the role of vampire Edward Cullen in the hit 2008 film "Twilight," which turned British actor Robert Pattinson into an international superstar. Even though he did not nab that star-making role, Haynes' persistence landed him guest-starring roles on several primetime shows - from the critically acclaimed "Pushing Daisies" (ABC, 2007-09), to the short-lived revival of "Melrose Place" (The CW, 2009-2010). He also played a supporting role opposite Dean McDermott and Barbara Eden in the made-for-television-film "Always and Forever" (Hallmark Channel, 2009). Haynes made his series regular debut on ABC's supernatural drama "The Gates," about an upscale, suburban neighborhood inhabited by vampires, witches, and werewolves. Haynes played Brett Crezski, a high school jock with the ability to transform into a werewolf. Even with an intriguing premise and a promising cast that included Rhona Mitra and Frank Grillo, "The Gates" suffered from low ratings and was cancelled after only one season. In 2011, Haynes returned to the world of supernatural television with a featured role on "Teen Wolf," MTV's small screen adaptation of the 1985 film starring Michael J. Fox. The show followed unpopular lacrosse-playing Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) whose social status changes after a werewolf attack turns him into one as well. Haynes was cast as Jackson Whittemore, the titular character's friend and fellow lacrosse teammate. Hayne left the series following the second series to take a bigger role as Roy Harper/Arsenal on "Arrow" (CW 2013- ). Between seasons Haynes appeared in the disaser flick "San Andreas" (2015) and the female-centric comedy "Rough Night" (2017). He also had a recurring role in "American Horror Story: Cult" (FX 2017).
