Dazzled by the lineup, including comedic wunderkinds Kate McKinnon and Ilana Glazer, I assumed there would be some crudeness, vulgarity, and racy humor, but I left the movie feeling demoralized and deeply angry.

Rough Night is a welcome surprise amidst so much forgettable, crude comedy. Here, excess is the means of transgressing the system, and at the same time, that very transgression is what grants them entry into it. [Full review in Spanish]

Yes, it's silly and over the top but if you watch it keeping the foolishness of your college years in mind, it's a fun joy ride with some laugh out loud moments, except for killing a guy. I hope you didn't do that in college!

Absurd and over the top, which is what I was hoping for. While it's a bit in the same vein as The Hangover, I found that movie idiotic but thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Kate McKinnon, Ilana Glazer, Zoe Kravitz.. they all delivered. A silly story, studded with stars from across the spectrum - Colton Haynes (Arrow, Teen Wolf), comedian Bo Burnham, Dean Winters ("Mayhem"), and even Demi Moore. Solid entertainment with a happy ending for a night of stupid, mindless fun.

Well, it was mostly dumb fodder, but it does have a few scenes that are funny, so whatever--watch it if you want to get through the canon of dumb, raunchy friend comedies.

This movie was way over the top... some of things had me dumbfounded... like they all simply lost all common sense & reasoning... it still had it's funny moments but it was more like "wooooow really".

Expected nothing going in, knew zero about the Movie, so checked out RT reviews to get a hint of Critic & Audience scores. They were low, esp. the Audience scores, but I had a slow night, so I gave it a shot. For me, it was a movie of attrition, watched 1 scene, then another, waiting to turn it off, except, consistently funny, quick witted one-liners, along with sort of a low-key slapstick type of comedy, kept me smiling, at times I found myself laughing hard, out loud. I've seen it now 3 times, so Movies?? You just never know, until you know.
