Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Some very nice cinematography, with alternate low-key lighting and hard silhouettes. But Jean Negroni's voice-over narration during the central liaison is inadvertently hilarious, while the racist caricature of an Asian photographer is not. He even speaks in sped up squeaks, appallingly. The inevitable, ironic role reversal drags out the ending and labors what point there is. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member This one was too 80s, but i still want to watch other films by Walerian Borowczyk, though. The underground scene when they met each other at the beginning was really promising, then came the cliches of sex and of 80s. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Most of this film is worthless, constantly driven forward by an incessant decorative script which is slightly archaic to create a degree of removal from the reality of the contemporary settings. Where Walerian Borowczyk's talent cannot be denied, and i chose this film by auteur preference, is the delirious eroticism and sexual tension that he captures so deliciously, which were horrendously spoilt by a dominant female role reversal towards the end. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Grotesque. A pretentious story off dominating, sexual-driven masculinity being severely punished by enigmatic power off femininity.
