MFB Critics Monthly Film Bulletin Margaret Lockwood is rather too normal for a sensitive artist, but she carries through the musical side very ably and makes a charming heroine. Feb 6, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Considered by many as the prequel to Ryan O'Neil's hit Love Story in the late 1970's but it definitely is not. It's the story of an ill woman befriending & ultimately falling in love with a man who is going blind. Margaret Lockwood is great in her quintessential role as the typical WWII Englishwoman. It's a little flat to be honest but does have some great scenes...falls a little short of Bank Holiday though. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Glossy WWII romance.
