How can someone love you yesterday and not today? Shortly after her boyfriend sends his 12-year-old brother to break the news that she's dumped, Frankie Browne discovers that she has a loser in love gene. Every man she goes out with will inevitably break up with her. Facing a lifetime of romantic failure, Frankie turns to the only genetics expert she knows: her former nemesis, Wilbur, a schoolboy science prodigy. Wilbur develops a maverick theory to reverse her romantic fortunes that sets into motion an unexpected and comic journey into Frankie's past of questionable romantic choices.

...has the kind of simple high-concept that would suit most platforms; while not exactly probable, the light fantasy of the idea is enough to see the film through, with genuine laughs and none of the cringe-factor associated with low-budget rom-coms

Someone should've told the filmmakers of Love Type D that it's neither funny nor cute to do a romantic comedy about a woman who spends most of the movie stalking an ex-boyfriend who dumped her. It's pathetic ... [And it's] an appalling mess of a movie.

We should applaud first-time writer-director Sasha Collington for coming up with a truly unique fantasy premise. However, Dermody spends much of the film moping about when such a farcical premise craves energy and snappy dialogue.

Movie type W, for Waste of time. I am a person who likes most silly Romantic movies and also most silly stupid movies. I kept watching hoping for a good ending at least. but alas.... it was bad all the way through and the ending was disappointing as well.
