Feb 8, 2011 Full Review Amy Taubin Artforum Doubek, Karpovsky, and Kafka should be commended for making their characters thoroughly unappealing while eschewing villainous flourishes. Jun 2, 2015 Full Review Geoff Berkshire Metromix.com Often feels like a film school exercise in how to handle three major characters in mostly one location ... doesn't skimp in the key area of complicated relationships Rated: 3/5 Feb 11, 2011 Full Review Sara Maria Vizcarrondo Boxoffice Magazine Lovers of Hate would be a family tragedy if the immature antics of the three characters didn't send you ping-ponging from sympathetic chuckles to guffaws of disgust. Audience Member Unique little dramedy certainly has its moments. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member I found this little indie comedy highly enjoyable. Poyser kept my attention with his bogus situations and strange relationships, and I loved wondering with each scene whether I was seeing malicious violence or ill-placed love- it's sincerely hard to tell most of the time. The acting was surprisingly strong; performances that at first seem small gain real depth as the story progresses. This film won't be seen by a lot of people, probably because it isn't loud enough, but it's very worth tracking down. (SxSW). Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member I found myself waiting for this film to end. The tone was ambiguous, which is admirable but frustrating, in how it tried to combine comedy and horror-stalker elements into a tone that was muddled and uninteresting. The characters were all childish, beyond belief, to boot. I feel like the concept was good but I was underwhelmed by how the story was concocted around that concept. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member pretty good, some funny and realistic dialogue, tho a real indie vibe to it, the guy who was paul was good Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
