farah r The only reason I watched this movie until the end is because of Eva Longoria's acting. This has got to be her most earnest performance to date. Lowriders I found to be uninteresting. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Good movie. Always loved watching low riders passing by mi casa and bumping goodies oldies. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Excellent movie. Completely different then what I was expecting. In the times of Fast and Furious films, nice to see a film with a different outlook on thing. Script was very good. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Loved it! A must see!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member The most under rated movie ever. I was hesitant because of the critics but went ahead. The movie suck you in from the very beginning until the end. Great photography, scenography, acting and not a dull moment. Last time a movie suck me in like this was Gladiator Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Rating: 59% Its clichés and overly melodramatic tone take prominence here, but Lowriders still manages to be a quietly entertaining family drama with fine performances and worthy themes. Richard Roeper Richard Roeper.com Eva Longoria gives one of her most authentic performances as the strong and loving Gloria. Ross brings a wounded intensity to his character. Chavarria's narration is a tad low key, but his performance is natural and effective. Rated: 3/4 May 16, 2017 Full Review Christy Lemire RogerEbert.com There's an earnestness and a fundamental truth to this familial saga-as well as an appealing, low-budget scrappiness-that consistently make it hum. Rated: 3/4 May 12, 2017 Full Review Rafer Guzman Newsday A well-intentioned but superficial story about a deep-rooted Hispanic subculture. Rated: 2/4 May 12, 2017 Full Review Louisa Moore Screen Zealots The script is balanced by earnest performances and an engaging look into a culture that's grossly underrepresented onscreen. Rated: 3.5/5 Dec 20, 2018 Full Review Josh Terry Deseret News (Salt Lake City) Lowriders has a lot of thoughtful parts that don't quite mesh into a coherent whole. Rated: 2.5/4 May 19, 2017 Full Review Jon Espino The Young Folks Lowriders exudes passion from the cast and everyone involved, and the final result is a passion project that is both poignant and socially relevant despite its many flaws.
