Shubhra Gupta The Indian Express It is the mawkish sentimentality which overcomes the story-telling. When it is not that, then we find our fine conspirators being much too dramatic. Rated: 2/5 Jul 18, 2019 Full Review Namrata Joshi The Hindu The so-called "supporting" cast becomes the spine - Inaamulhaq, Dobriyal and Sharma in fine fettle here. The film also begins to get persuasive and involves you in exploring the duality between following your dream as against seeking freedom. Jul 10, 2018 Full Review Rachit Gupta Filmfare We know cause based films are the norm right now and maybe the idea behind the film was prison reform. It's heart was in the right place but everything else wasn't... Rated: 2.5/5 Oct 26, 2017 Full Review Nandini Ramnath Scroll.in Ranjit Tiwari's debut feature coasts along on strong performances and a mostly absorbing, if overblown, plot. Sep 15, 2017 Full Review Rohit Vats Hindustan Times Lucknow Central fails to utilise its resources, especially Diana Penty, and loses out on a chance to become a really engaging film. Like Prison Break, it never reaps the benefits of a promising start. Rated: 2.5/5 Sep 15, 2017 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Worst actor ever Akhtar Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member highly entertaining movie with a brilliant twist at the end Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/07/19 Full Review Audience Member Poor story/plot. Disappointing choice from Farhan Akhtar. However, solid acting from him, Rajesh Sharma, Deepak Dobriyal, Ronit Roy and Gippy Grewal. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review joel d A sad premise with no consequence. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie features some of my favorite artists in the industry, those who make soulful, sensible or humors movies and not just the nonsensical masala mesh up Bollywood is known for. So I was surprised to find the movie having an idiotic plot, erratic flow, and mediocre editing. The movie just had an idea but no knowhow on executing it. The last surprise was the movie ends stating it's inspired by true events; I did a little bit of digging. Turned out what they mean by true events are that a band competition was organized and they did get to play in functions that's about it, so 99% of the movie is made up stuff. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review mirza m 'Lucknow Central' is a solid watch with rough edges yet made worthwhile by an entertaining story line & dependable cast.
