Jeannette Catsoulis New York Times Low-key and low-tech, "Lunch" coasts on the earned wisdom of pros who know how to work a room. Rated: 3/5 Nov 8, 2012 Full Review Elizabeth Weitzman New York Daily News It's worth pulling up a chair. Rated: 3/5 Nov 8, 2012 Full Review Ernest Hardy Village Voice The appeal of Lunch might be limited to Hollywood-nostalgia buffs, but they will be enthralled not only by the stories told, but also how they're told. These guys are still some of the sharpest wits in town. Nov 7, 2012 Full Review David Noh Film Journal International Ingratiating, if too short, record of a Hollywood institution anyone would be happy to attend. Oct 25, 2012 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member It's almost impressive that a movie with such a simple premise (old Hollywood icons gather for a bi-weekly lunch) can end up this shockingly uneven. It's barely a movie; in fact it's more akin to listening to your great-grandpa tell a long-winded, aimless, repetitive story. I'm honestly not even sure how to approach it as a piece of media; it jumps between tones, themes, ideas and focuses with no concern for its audience. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member ***HERE'S TO THE GENTLEMEN WHO LUNCH, EVERYBODY LAUGH*** Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a great documentary. It has all my favorite classic TV writers in one place. I'm glad someone was clever enough to make this film. I really enjoyed it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member It was nice to hear the stories from these legendary writers about how they came to be writers and beyond. They still have so much to share. I'm glad I got a chance to see this film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Really enjoyed listening to these comedy legend's stories! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Would love to be a guest at one of these lunches. What an honor, it would be, to be in the company of these gentlemen. They are still so funny. Loved the stories. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Read all reviews
