As director Jess Franco got older, his films became even more incomprehensible than usual, and this one is no exception.

Arty but boring and revolting Euro horror softcore. Franco has never made a good film, although his Dracula isn't bad.

Lust for Frankenstein disappointed me as has all of Jess Franco's work from recent years. This film at least features some cooly surreal visuals, but the plot is virtually nonexistent--not necesarrily a bad thing, but in this case it is hard to follow even the minimal plot because of the poor sound quality and the poor english dub on the version I watched. Basically a rip off of Lady Frankenstein with loads more sex, much of which I found boring and even fast forwarded through at times. Overall, a cheaply made and ultimately poor film that is saved somewhat (but only a little) by some moments of creepy/surreal imagery reminiscent of Franco's earlier days.
