Teo Bugbee New York Times The first time strings resound in the film's score, they produce a plaintive, engrossing feeling. When the same theme plays for the 15th time, the romance feels monotonous. Mar 18, 2021 Full Review Dennis Harvey 48 Hills There's enough gravitas and storytelling expanse to this well-crafted film to make its happier developments seem well-earned rather than mere viewer wish-fulfillment Apr 10, 2021 Full Review Rich Cline Shadows on the Wall It's an ambitious story told with remarkable sensitivity. Rated: 4/5 Mar 25, 2021 Full Review Jackie K. Cooper jackiekcooper.com A story about prison and its aftermath that never explores the magnitude of either. Rated: 5/10 Mar 22, 2021 Full Review Gary M. Kramer Gay City News Viewers will either be all in to see if love wins out, or they will have turned "LUZ" off long before then. Mar 22, 2021 Full Review Josiah Teal Film Threat I would recommend the film to fans of socially conscious dramas or those who love to explore vulnerability in an invulnerable world. William A Tender and heart warming. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/04/23 Full Review Bryan M The movie was good, but not great. The storytelling between the two actors were incredible despite the fact that the movie is slow. It was ok for this particular movie to be slow just to build the character development. The character development was spot on but the chemistry scenes could have been a little better. I felt bad that the chemistry scenes were shown so fast that the scenes are totally forgettable. But they could have tighten up the chemistry scenes better. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/23/22 Full Review Andrew A Brutally honest and authentic portrayals of love, loss, family, and freedom. Breathtaking performances by Ernesto Reyes and Jesse Tayeh. Their chemistry is electric and enviable. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/25/22 Full Review Audience Member This is not a conventional LGBT love story. Nevertheless this films hits the mark. Great acting, unpredictable and moving. I really enjoyed it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member So good!!!! Love the build up to the end Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member Amazing movie.
