Noel Murray Los Angeles Times An indistinct muddle of werewolf mythology, slasher formula and "teenagers in the woods" clichs, the horror pastiche "Lycan" might've been a passable picture if writer-director Bev Land had settled on what he was making. Aug 17, 2017 Full Review John DeFore The Hollywood Reporter Intends to introduce novelty to its overfamiliar setup, but uneven casting and a very thin script get in the way. Aug 7, 2017 Full Review Maitland McDonagh Film Journal International Lycan is unlikely to connect with teen audiences, and hardcore horror buffs are likely to find it lacking in gore appeal. Audience Member Starts out as a porno (not a good one at that) and gets gradually worse. This is not worth the watch. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Oh dear, nuts and bolts that don't even fit. Who on earth as a viewer do we care about in this film? Cicadas in a deciduous forest, with tinkly piano and corn syrup waywardly deployed. Best of luck to all involved but not for me. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member We were so excited to see this. The worst Lycan movie!! Very thin script. The actors weren't the worst, but they could have been better. It starts off slow and then gets confusing and weird and then the ending is absolutely horrible. It seems to be they ran out of money and threw what they could at the end. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Amazing throwback horror film! An 80's slasher vibe, with a side of Hitchcock. Very unique videography, fusing several mediums. A beautiful project and Highly Recommended. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews
