Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Ada apa denhan cinta Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member very depressed, cold movie no drama, no story, no reality Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member The pacing is so awkward and the editing so choppy. It seems like one quick scene after another disappointing. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member I get the feeling many people rated this highly to be able to act like they just are smarter and others just wouldnt understand. No. It is not an honest look at incest at all. The romanticized vision of incest does not help. The actors tried but the material was not good enough. It was as if the thought was lets do a movie about a taboo subject and threw a dart at the wall. This is not a provactive look at a subject. It is simply using a taboo subject to draw in an audience and then hope "enlightened" people will like it. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Empire Magazine Rated: 3/5 Apr 1, 2006 Full Review Jessica Reaves Chicago Tribune A self-satisfied, utterly hollow Bacchanal. Rated: 1.5/4 Aug 18, 2005 Full Review Mick LaSalle San Francisco Chronicle 110 minutes of Euro silliness mitigated only by the presence of Huppert and the striking ability of the actors to keep a straight face throughout this mess. Rated: 1/4 Jul 29, 2005 Full Review Gary M. Kramer Out Magazine Fascinating and erotic -- if also difficult and disturbing -- Christophe Honoré's ambitious adaptation of Georges Bataille's novel prevails because of the frank treatment of its serious subject matter. May 16, 2022 Full Review Tom Dawson The List The cast deliver brave, accomplished performances, with Huppert's Héléne a compelling mixture of menace and fragility.
