Audience Member A powerful documentary that shows the suffering of 3 workers in sweat shops for Forever 21. The three had suffered through many hardships and even had to go through sacrificing their home lives to make money for their families. While the movie is tragic it's way longer than it should've been. This could EASILY have been 20 minutes shorter and been just as effective with all the information needed. I understand they wanted to make their mark on an important issue and I totally get that but it got to the point where they were just force feeding info down my throat. Made In L.A. is a good doc but it just tries way too hard to be a history lesson landmark instead of just making this issue addressed more socially. C Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member A well done, socially conscious documentary following three immigrant women who challenge the big business for wages above minimum. Branches into topics such as gender, race, and economic relations between classes and sufficiently engrossing throughout. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Beautiful film about human struggle and triumph. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member 3 years of fight with ups and downs to be heard... Super Wow!!! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member The struggle of sweatshop workers in L.A. is shown sympathetically, but realistically. A leftist documentary that doesn't end on a downer. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member My friend Christine reminded me that I had seen this movie. A no holds barred look at the clothing industry and the status of illegal aliens in the trade. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Read all reviews
