Jesse Hassenger AV Club But as bodies pile up and Mewes becomes more frazzled, the movie's already-modest sense of gravitas slips away in favor of overacting, smirky violence, and a misplaced sense of amusement over men acting in any way effete. Rated: C- Aug 5, 2019 Full Review Tom Beasley VultureHound Much like Mewes' career, the film is stuck in a sort of arrested development in which jokes about smoking joints and Vinnie Jones are automatically hilarious. Brad P It may be more of a comedy with some gore than a true horror film, but Madness in the Method still presents an unflinching depiction of the darker side of the Hollywood lifestyle. Anyone dreaming of being an actor needs to watch this. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/06/23 Full Review jamie m Good movie for Jason Mewes first try at directing I love how he basicly makes it about himself in it! On a side note this was a good movie too 3.6 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/09/21 Full Review Audience Member This is a silly dark comedy where most of the people play themselves. If you like Kevin Smith, then you will like this directorial debut by Jason Mewes. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/31/21 Full Review Audience Member The best movie I've ever seen.
