Audience Member The humour you expect is there, but the story arc is not on the scale of a Hollywood blockbuster - although it's very much written to leave you feeling good. Obviously that hasn't gone down well with most critics, but it really is enjoyable. A lot of fun characters, and loads of background detail. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Not many jokes in this uneventful film. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Largely watchable, Magicians gets its star power, driving force and ocasional kichs from Mitchell and Webb. This isn't the Prestige but it is a pretty good pop-corn vehicle. Watch it. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Normally a movie like this I would give two stars, but I'm a huge fan of David Mitchell and Pete Webb so I had to bump it up a bit. For those of you who don't know Mitchell and Webb, they are the stars of the UK sitcom Peep Show. The show can be found on Netflix, and it's hilarious; I highly recommend. Sadly the film doesn't show off Mitchell and Webb too well, but it's not an awful film either. Fans of Peep Show will appreciate it, the casual fan will think it's dull. Not a time waster, but not for everyone. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member A typical British comedy in that it squanders its at least interesting idea by with awkward humour and focusing on a dull romantic subplot. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Robert Webb and David Mitchell humour in a full-length feature. What's not to love? Jan 30, 2018 Full Review Phelim O'Neill Guardian O'Connor's direction has absolutely zero visual flair, making the performers' transition from television to film rather pointless.
