Regardless of the young sailor's considerable nautical expertise, there is no such thing as smooth sailing on the trip Dekker is going on and watching her navigate those waters is a beautiful and exciting sight to behold.

Good doc that pairs well thematically with the narrative film All Is Lost starring Robert Redford. This is the beginning of a life on the ocean, All Is Lost is the ending. I'm amazed at Laura's character, drive and abilities. Will be fun to see another film about her later in life if she's still sailing then. And see if she's still exploring the same questions.
