Beatrice Loayza New York Times “Maika” stands out for its moments of weird eccentricity. Jun 2, 2022 Full Review Panos Kotzathanasis Asian Movie Pulse It is not certain how much “Maika: The Girl from Another Galaxy” will appeal to mature audiences, but children will definitely have a blast with the movie. Rated: 6.5 Jan 3, 2023 Full Review Alex Billington FirstShowing.net As ridiculous and impractical as this movie is, it's honestly so likable and so charming. One geeky Vietnamese kid gets caught up in an adventure with an alien girl who helps him save the day and take out some bullies. Rated: 6/10 Dec 30, 2022 Full Review Carey-Ann Pawsey Orca Sound Based on a 1970s Czech series, Maika, The Girl From Another Galaxy is one of those cute family films that not even the Grinch himself could poo poo. Rated: 3/5 Jul 2, 2022 Full Review Monique Jones Common Sense Media This charming, heartfelt film taps into the complicated emotional issues that come with grief, especially childhood grief... Rated: 4/5 Jun 10, 2022 Full Review Harris Dang The AU Review Maika is very modest with its goals as a family film and on that bar, it succeeds with genuine charm and energy. Unfortunately, the runtime of close to two hours make the pacing feel interminable and the anti-Japanese sentiment is just in very bad taste. Rated: 2.5/5 Jun 5, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews

Jen Fully funny movie. The kids are so cute. And subtitles made it easier although the acting was so goodly simple that you can just tell whats going on. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/06/22 Full Review Peter My friends and family just went to see MAIKA. We all LOVE IT!!!! We were so impressed with the vivid colors of the film , especially the scenes of DANANG, with the grande and beauty of BANA and CAU VANG (So proud of DANANG now). The Emotion expressed by HUNG is so touching. He conveyed all his feelings to us, our young niece (10 years old) cried so much with HUNG, when he lost his Mom and when he worried about MAIKA going to die. TINTIN is so funny. The Film has a sense of humor to make us laugh, too. And MAIKA is so cute. Her big, round eyes are so lovely. The friendship of MAIKA and HUNG is such a good example for our children. For THANH, KIM NHA and all other movie characters, they are just as excellent as our tiny movie stars. At the end, the Film also has sent out a human message when HUNG holds the meteorite-chain on his heart with deep love. His loving energy has transmitted to the universe and finally touched MAIKA and gave her this loving energy (not the meteorite energy) and healed her. What a wonderful conclusion! Thank you SOOO MUCH for giving us a wonderful entertaining evening with MAIKA, THE GIRL FROM ANOTHER GLAXY. WE ALL LOVE IT! Thank you a whole bunch, Peter Nguyen Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/19/22 Full Review Audience Member Adorable movie!! My entire family loved it.
