Thomas V @TomVee 1d Interesting to see this after having seen Triangle of Sadness a couple of years ago. Two movies with the same theme, a century apart, and each reflects the state of society at the time. A fun double feature idea on the theme of class struggle and inequality. This was enjoyable and pretty well acted by silent standards. The signature DeMille spectacle is confined to the silly and superfluous Babylonian fantasy sequence, which serves to make the picture about 50% longer than it needed to be but adds little else. It's entertaining though. See more 09/18/2020 Very well crafted, and the survival scenes are hilarious. See more Thomas M @TMProofreader 02/01/2019 The best romance movie ever made! Soon, the butler is running the whole island and class roles go Topsy-turvy. Based on a stage play by J.M. Barrie (Peter Pan).
