Audience Member Interesting if flawed low budget western about gunman Anthony Quinn saving a town from outlaws, but the towns continues to hold racist attitudes toward him being a Mexican even though he was their savior. It's a interesting twist on "High Noon" that focuses on issues of race. Although Quinn gives a fine performance, coming off "La Strada" just two years earlier, the story is awfully muddled and drags at times. Still, it is an interesting film that is worth checking out for fans of offbeat westerns or fans of Quinn. Katy Jurado is also worth mentioning, who give s fine supporting performance.
