Clint Mason (Reb Russell) gets out of prison after serving a sentence on a false robbery charge and is reunited with his girlfriend, Nancy Campbell (Ann Darcy), the daughter of local banker Col. Campbell (George Hayes). He learns that the town's new mayor, Anse McCloud (Fred Kohler), is actually fugitive murderer Trig Kelso. McCloud is using information about the financial dealings of Nancy's father to blackmail her into marrying him. Mason knows he must set things right.
