      Critics Consensus

Clever and often beguiling performances by Steve Zahn and Jennifer Aniston can't revive this sweetly misguided stalker romance.

Test T I watched this on DVD recently and I quite liked it. It covers the ups and downs of a long distance romantic relationship in a fairly straight forward way, while keeping enough of the story in reserve to maintain the viewer's interest. The two leads performed well, and have enough onscreen chemistry to be convincing. The distance makes for a variety of scenes in diverse locations which was nice to see. Over all, it's a pleasant enough film with a happy ending which I am happy to recommend. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/24 Full Review Michael K 8/28/2023 I love everything Jennifer Aniston does, however, as great as she was in this movie, the story and other cast match ups, did not work. But enjoyed watching her act! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/28/23 Full Review Wade W Stalker Simulator, basically. I don't really see how any of this would happen in reality. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 07/16/23 Full Review Bryan O Personally I loved this movie. Quirky, romantic, and sweet. Steve Zahn and Jennifer Aniston are perfectly cast. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Has some funny and cute moments. Comes off awkward at times and kinda just too weird. By the numbers rom com but watchable. Rated: 3/5 Sep 25, 2009 Full Review Debbie Lynn Elias Behind The Lens Despite it's unrealistic and somewhat questionable premise for love, Management is a cutesy, hopeful, romantic tale with a performance by Steve Zahn that takes him to a new level of performance and entertainment - a leading man. Nov 13, 2019 Full Review Kelly Jane Torrance Washington Times Playwright-screenwriter Stephen Belber, making his directorial debut, has made a film that's very funny because, despite the slapstick of Mr. Harrelson's character and an ill-advised detour into a monastery, it can be so real. Rated: 2.5/4 Dec 7, 2018 Full Review Nick Rogers Midwest Film Journal A completely uproarious one-liner about Joe Strummer is still no reason to watch "Management." Had it stuck with insights on loners inadvertently backing themselves into emotional corners, rather than going for wackiness, it might have worked.
