While the film handles its time-loop logic with surprising clarity—especially in showing cause and effect between timelines—it does leave a few unanswered questions, particularly regarding character placements in the altered future. The subtitles on Amazon Prime also seem to have just used Google Translate, but perhaps the script wasn’t lofty prose to begin with. The premise is great, and the time travel aspect does serve the plot nicely. What really sets the movie apart is the outstanding chemistry between the lead performers and the beautiful cinematography. However, due to the at times slow pacing and some cheesy elements, the movie also feels a little longer than it really should – still, it never overstays its welcome.
