Mo T Sure it's dated--it's almost 90 years old. It still hits the bulls-eye with it's messaging. To paraphrase my Berkeley rhetoric professor, Why does the argument work? Anyone can find fault, that's easy--and a lazy way of dismissing an inconvenient perspective. We like our drugs of choice, so we deflect preaching against their use. After all, some, if not most, use without serious incident. But, for some use is a slippery slope to disaster. I personally know of such harm, don't we all? I am for personal choice in a libertarian sense. But, I don't lie to myself about what choices I would want my children to make. This film highlights, melodramatically, some pitfalls of bad choices. Call it an adult themed fairy tale if you wish, but dismiss at your peril the poignancy of a fairy tale. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Made in 1936, this was a fifty six minute PSA dramatization of the evils of ‘Marihuana' Leading to promiscuity, unwanted pregnancies, death by drowning and kidnapping. It's pretty ridiculous but quite fun to watch. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member so comical now is this propaganda film. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Melodramatic and over the top, but it is still a very fascinating anti-marijuana propoganda film. The acting is not very good and it is such a severe depiction of marijuana use. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews
