The Kid (Bob Custer) drifts through the Western territories until he takes a job as a farm hand. He soon becomes friends with Alice (Lillian Rich), the adopted daughter of the farm's owner. After a lengthy absence, her brother, John (George Chesebro), unexpectedly arrives at the ranch and starts hanging around with two local thugs (Blackie Whiteford, Bud Osborne). When her father turns up dead and the Kid is accused of murdering him, Alice and the Kid set out to find the real killer.
