Following a string of artistic and personal setbacks -- including a widely publicized run-in with the police -- bad boy of comedy Martin Lawrence returns to his stand-up roots in a solo show that exposes his uncensored views on career, relationships, society and the media. Filmmaker David Raynr is on hand to document Lawrence's January 2002 performance at Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C., interspersing the comedian's raunchy, curse-laden monologues with candid behind-the-scenes footage.

Kathryn J What an unlikable man. Jokes about instilling fear in and abusing your children are ugly and not remotely amusing. Hideous. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/13/24 Full Review Audience Member Out of all the stand up specials out there, this is the one that got a theatrical release? It's awful. Lawrence's jokes are crude and unfunny. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member I thought that this stand up was pretty damn funny. Not the biggest Dan of Martin, but I must say, this was quite entertaining. Good topics and he really did a great job on his material.
